STPI-Gandhinagar supported and participated in the Vibrant Gujarat Startup and Technology Summit 2018 during 11th-13th October 2018 at Gandhinagar. The event was organized by Gujarat Electronics & Software Industries Association (GESIA) in association with Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce & Industry (FICCI). The three-day event was aimed to promote micro, small and medium entrepreneurs by creating conducive environment for entrepreneurship in the field of IT/ITeS and provided an unparalleled opportunity to Government, Startups and SMEs to showcase India's innovations, investment environment and new business opportunities. State Bank of India organized exporters meet at Technopark, Thiruvananthapuram on 31st October 2019. Sh. S.R. Subramaniam, Director STPI-Thiruvananthapuram addressed on the role and activities of STPI in promoting the IT/ITES Industry & exporters and procedure for filing Softex forms. He also informed the exporters about the new initiatives like establishment of domain-centric CoEs and CRS schemes. During an open discussion with the exporters, STPI representatives clarified the doubts on the processes around Softex certification and IBPS.

Vibrant Goa Global Expo and Summit 2019 (VG GES 2019) was organized for Goan industries and business community to showcase their strengths, highlight business opportunities and facilitate knowledge dissemination across 12 countries worldwide and 20 states of India. The objective of VG GES 2019 was inclusive development in key areas such as innovation, sustainability, industries, technology, youth and skill development, knowledge sharing and networking. While addressing at the event, Dr. Omkar Rai, Director General, STPI accentuated on how the STPI-Goa centre will play a significant role in boosting IT/ITeS exports from the region, promoting budding entrepreneurs & creating employment opportunities in the Gao. He also emphasized on how India is heading towards product nation by creating opportunities for entrepreneurs and start-ups in the country.

Government of Goa has allocated 14,815.54 sq. mtrs. of land at Dona Paula, Goa for establishment of state-of-the-art incubation facility and other facilities. Software Technology Parks of India (STPI) has signed MoU with M/s. Infotech Corporation of Goa Ltd. on behalf of Department of Information Technology, Government of Goa in the gracious presence of Hon'ble Chief Minister of Goa Dr. Pramod Sawant, Hon'ble Minister for Revenue, IT, Labour & Employment, Government of Goa, Smt. Jennifer Monserrate; Dr. Omkar Rai, Director General, STPI and Shri Devesh Tyagi, Senior Director, STPI for land allocation at Dona Paula, Goa for the growth of the IT/ITES, ESDM, Startup and BPO/BPM industry, employment generation and entrepreneurial opportunities in this region. The MoU was signed on 17th of October 2019 by Shri Sanjay Kumar Gupta, Director STPI-Maharashtra & Goa and Shri Akash Kantak, Managing Director, M/s. Infotech Corporation of Goa Ltd.
