STPI Centres: The Harbinger of Dispersal of IT/ITeS Industry into Tier-II/III Cities

The evolution of industrial clusters is considered to increase the efficiency of companies making them competitive both nationally and internationally. The presence of these clusters working together in India especially concentrated around Bangalore, Noida, Mumbai, Chennai, Hyderabad and Pune, testifies that a technological revolution had taken place, somewhat identical to global technology clusters like Silicon Valley, Boston, Dallas, Ireland, Sweden and Tokyo.
